Oil seals are parts that prevent oil leaks from the ends of rotary shafts in automotive engines or motors. Oil seals prevent lubricating oil, water or liquid chemicals used in machinery from leaking through machinery gaps. They also function to prevent the entry of outside dust or dirt

Quad Rings (also known as X-Rings) have a sealing function doubling that of an o-ring, and can be used in a numerous static and dynamic sealing applications.

Compared to a standard o-ring, the four-lobed Quad Ring profile maintains twice the sealing surface. The double-seal action requires less squeeze to maintain an effective seal function. With reduction in squeeze, this yields lower friction and prolonged seal life.

To prevent leakage, which typically results from a parting line's irregular surface on an o-ring, the parting lines on an X-Ring are between the lobes, and away from the sealing surface.

X-Rings are also made to surpass the performance of a standard o-ring in rotary seal applications. The four-lobed design produces a more secure seal to counteract spiral twisting. This allows the use of a narrower groove width than a standard o-ring groove, but can also be used in a standard o-ring groove.

The main purpose of rubber washers is to prevent leakage or seepage of fluids or gases between the surfaces they are placed between. They act as a barrier that seals off any openings or gaps and prevents the flow of air, water, or other fluids.

The dome valve seal is also known as inflatable dome valve seal or insert seal. Dome valves are more suitable duties and handling chemically aggressive or high temperature materials. They are widely used on pneumatic conveying systems or applications as diverse as fly ash bagging and dispensing food products into containers.

The Dome Valve is unique in its ability to open and close with a tight pressure seal in pneumatic conveying systems for abrasive materials. No other valve can achieve as long of a life in harsh environments like the Dome Valve.

The Victaulic gasket is pressure responsive, providing increased sealing action as the internal pressure is increased. The combination of these characteristics creates a permanent, leak-tight triple seal on a variety of piping materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, PVC, ductile iron and copper.
